About Renal Cell Cancer Update

Historically, the unique biology of renal cell carcinoma has it made it particularly resistant to chemotherapeutic interventions and breakthroughs in the management of this somewhat uncommon malignancy were minimal. This has recently changed with the emergence of data on new biologic agents including several novel multikinase inhibitors that have been proven effective for the treatment of advanced renal cancer.

To ensure that emerging data on these newer interventions are reaching practicing clinicians, in 2006 Dr Neil Love and Research To Practice, launched Renal Cell Cancer Update. RCU grants general medical oncologists, hematologists and hematology/medical oncology fellows ongoing access to the opinions and perspectives of renowned researchers in academia with a specific interest in the systemic management of renal cell cancer. Modeled after its predecessor in breast, colon, lung and prostate cancers, the series is intended to be a valuable, relevant and important CME resource for the clinicians that encounter this often challenging disease.
